Join us for a free webinar where researchers from the University of Georgia and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) will share findings from social science research conducted with at-risk residents in the aftermath of Hurricanes Matthew and Irma.

Research results were drawn from 10 focus groups held in Savannah and Brunswick, Georgia, and Beaufort, South Carolina; over 60 interviews conducted in Chatham and McIntosh Counties in Georgia; and surveys of over 1,000 people in coastal Georgia. These rapid response studies analyzed the experiences, perceptions and decision making of coastal residents in relation to coastal flooding from storm surge and sea level rise.
